Regarding the Horror Movie bit on Speaking Up.

When I bring my city friends out to my parent's place in the country, there is a part on the drive where there is two miles of forest-lined gravel road. They almost always make the comment "I feel like I'm in a horror movie" or make a joke about someone with a chainsaw and hockey mask jumping out of the woods.

It seems that horror movies give viewers a higher exposure of the outdoors than other genres. This a possible contributor to nature deficit disorder.
